The reward for finding a 10-year-old child missing from Broward County, Florida, has been increased, as authorities continue their search. The child has been unaccounted for since June, and the reward has now been doubled by Broward County Crime Stoppers.
According to CrimeOnline, Gabrielle Terrelonge was last seen on June 21 at a Walmart in Hollywood, Florida. She was accompanied by her mother, Passha Davis, during the sighting.
Police reports indicate that by June 30, Davis and Gabrielle had taken a Greyhound bus from the Central Florida area to The Florida Mall located in Orange County. Witnesses confirmed seeing the child disembark the bus with her mother.
Gabrielle’s father, Gordon Terrelonge, filed a missing person report on October 29 after discovering that Davis had been incarcerated, according to FOX 35.
Police arrested Davis on October 17 for reportedly stealing from a Dollar Tree store. She faced charges of resisting arrest and providing a false identity. However, NBC Miami notes that the store opted not to press charges for the stolen goods, leaving the theft unprosecuted.
During questioning at the Paul Rein Detention Facility on October 31, Davis reportedly told investigators that she didn’t know her daughter’s whereabouts. She also said that Gabrielle should have been with her father.
On November 4, authorities arrested her again on a child neglect with bodily harm charge.
WESH 2 reports that Osceola County authorities confirmed that Gordon Terrelonge took a polygraph test. He passed.
“I’ve been pretty much in my head thinking the worst. In a nightmare. I don’t want to believe it,” he said, adding that he last saw Gabrielle in Celebration, in May.
He said Gabrielle and Davis arrived and stayed with him, then left when he had an argument with Davis.
“All three of us, we lived in a hotel for the next three days. On the last day, she tried to leave.”
“The police told me, ‘Well, we’ve seen that there’s a court case between y’all, and if you don’t leave her alone, we’re going to put you in jail. Put you back in jail.’ So, they literally stood in front of me and told her to walk away.
“That was the last time I seen them was that night the encounter with the police.”
Terrelonge is described as standing 4 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 100 pounds, and having dark hair. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, black long pants, and white Crocs.
Anyone with information that could lead to the arrest of someone involved in Gabrielle’s disappearance is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477), the FBI at 1-800-CALL-FBI or the Margate Police Department at 954-972-7111.
Broward County Crime Stoppers is offering a $10,000 reward for information that leads to Gabrielle’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Davis remains jailed on a $100,000 bond. She was also ordered to undergo a mental health evaluation.
