New details emerged Tuesday in connection with Ann Arbor teen, Adriana Davidson, found dead near her school on Monday afternoon.
As CrimeOnline previously reported, police found 15-year-old Brooks at about 1 p.m. Monday “near the Pioneer High School athletic fields,” Fox News Digital reports. The discovery happened after her family reported her missing when she failed to return messages and calls on Friday after taking a bus to school.
Friends reportedly said they Brooks at school that morning but she later left after claiming she didn’t feel well.
On Tuesday evening, police said they reviewed security footage that showed Brooks was alone at the time of her death. The Washtenaw County Medical Examiner’s Office completed an autopsy on Tuesday evening, A4 News reports, but the manner of death is still pending.
Deputies with the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO) said that there were no signs of foul play and there doesn’t appear to be any threats to the community.
“We know that in the absence of facts, myths can emerge, and with such a tragic situation, those myths can begin to cause considerable harm,” the release said Tuesday.
“Parents become fearful to send their students to school based on unverified rumors. Family members continue to be victimized from the constant barrage of inaccurate assumptions, and the integrity of an investigation can be threatened.”
Ann Arbor police are currently investigating the incident and don’t anticipate another update until the investigation is complete.
