A Minnesota man who allegedly called the police on himself after he stabbed his pregnant wife to death will have to pony up millions of dollars if he wants to get out of jail.

Saleebaan Mohamed Abdirisaaq, 26, appeared remotely for his bond hearing on Friday when a judge set his bail at $6 million with no conditions and $4 million with conditions. Abdirisaaq was arrested after he apparently called police to come to an apartment in St. Cloud late on Tuesday night. According to the criminal complaint obtained by Law&Crime, Abdirisaaq told dispatchers that “someone died” and he “wanted to turn himself in.” Police said that Abdirisaaq asked for police to come so they could “just come see.”

The victim was 24-year-old Falus A. Ali, whom Abdirisaaq called his “wife,” and who was 17 weeks pregnant.

The criminal complaint stated that Ali, who was pronounced dead after she was brought to St. Cloud Hospital, was allegedly stabbed 34 times. Police found her in the apartment’s living room, on the floor, surrounded by “coagulating” blood. Wounds were observed on her “neck, shoulders, arms, chest, left breast, and her jaw.”

Abdirisaaq allegedly stated during his call to 911 that she had died 20 minutes earlier.

Police said that a 5-inch, serrated kitchen knife “covered in blood” was found on the floor near Ali’s body.

According to the criminal complaint, the couple’s 3-year-old child was on the apartment’s patio with Abdirisaaq and later taken into the care of other family members. Police said that the child was overheard talking about Abdirisaaq “punching” Ali while “motioning with a balled fist towards the neck.” According to the complaint, Ali had “a large number of stab wounds” on the right side of her neck.

Police spoke to Abdirisaaq’s brother, who told them that he called him to say he “killed his wife with a knife.” He also mentioned that the couple had a documented history of domestic violence. In February, Abdirisaaq was convicted of violating a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order (DANCO) in Sherburne County. He was also arrested for making threats of violence against Ali in Hennepin County in September 2024. He had been released from custody on the condition that he not contact Ali.

Abdirisaaq was charged with four counts of second-degree murder and remains in custody on $6 million bail without conditions and $4 million bail with conditions. His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 7.
