Six people are dead in another mass shooting in America, this one at a Walmart in Virginia Tuesday night.

Chesapeake Police Chief Mark Solesky  said that the shooter, an employee, was dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, WAVY reported.

Investigators said calls began coming in at about 10:15 p.m., just after shift change, and officers arrived within two minutes. A greeter told WAVY the shooting started at the back of the store, but one person was found dead outside the front entrance.

Solesky said four people were still hospitalized as of Wednesday morning. Earlier, Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, the nearest level 1 trauma center, said five patients were being treated there. Two of those patients later died, two are in critical condition, and one is in good condition. It’s not clear where the fourth wounded person is being treated.

One witness, an employee at the store, told WAVY the shooter was a manager at the store and appeared to target other managers, but that report has not been confirmed. The witness said the shooting began at a meeting.

Investigators have not yet released the names of the victims or the gunman.

The attack was the seventh mass shooting in the past seven days in the United States, according to Washington Post, quoting figures from the Gun Violence Archive.
