Missouri Woman Never Made It Home From After Work Dinner

A 39-year-old Missouri woman went out to eat after work last Tuesday and hasn’t been seen since leaving the restaurant.

A cousin found Jacquelyn “Jacque” Elizabeth Mitchell’s car about 15 miles from where she was last seen, but so far there’s been no sign of her, KTVI reports.

“This is out of character,” said Tiffany Mitchell, the missing woman’s sister. “Something is wrong.”

Jacque Mitchell stopped by a restaurant in Sunset Hills, not far from where she worked, around 7 p.m. on March 14. A jewelry store in the same shopping center gave her sister video that showed Jacque getting into her car alone and leaving at about 11:30.

On Sunday, a cousin and his wife found Mitchell’s car at an apartment complex in Maryland Heights, still nine miles from her home in St. Charles. Maryland Heights police are processing the scene but say that missing person case is still with investigators in St. Charles, the St. Louis suburb where the missing person report was filed.

Family and friends began searching there when they got phone records showing Mitchell’s phone, which is now dead, last pinged on a cell tower nearby.

“We want her home,” Tiffany Mitchell said. “This is not her. This is not, she doesn’t do this. Like, I just, ‘Jacque, please come home. Wherever you are, please come home.’”

Mitchell’s debit card was last used to pay for her dinner that night after work. Anyone with information should call 636-949-3300.
