Authorities in Michigan are actively searching for a woman who is accused of throwing hot coffee at a McDonald’s employee in Saginaw on Tuesday.

The Buena Vista Police Department has reviewed surveillance footage from the incident, which occurred on Tuesday morning. The video shows Casharra Brown, 48, engaging in an intense argument with the manager at the fast-food outlet located on Dixie Highway.

The altercation reportedly stemmed from Brown’s frustration over a prolonged wait for an online order, which she claimed exceeded an hour. Her patience worn thin, she demanded a refund.

To aid in identifying the suspect, Buena Vista police have made the video footage public. The recording captures Brown loudly berating the manager, repeatedly accusing the employee of being dishonest as tensions flared.

In an effort to calm the situation, the manager informed Brown, “You’ve got your coffee,” and clarified, “That’s all that you were charged for. Your refund will take up to 48 hours.”

As the worker attempted to disengage and walk away, the agitated customer reportedly ripped the lid off the large hot cup of coffee, reached over the service barrier, and flung the steamy beverage at the back of the worker’s uniform.

The unidentified manager immediately let out a loud scream as Brown quickly fled the McDonald’s premises while yelling, F*** you, b****!” “Catch that hot a** coffee!”

Police told FOX News Digital that the victim sustained minor injuries.

Following the incident, law enforcement’s video footage on social media prompted an overwhelming public response. 

“I must have gotten about 100 tips,” Buena Vista detective Russ Pahssen told MLive.”Within about two minutes, we had her identified.”

These tips prompted a warrant for Brown’s arrest.

Pahssen confirmed that the police department sent a request to the Saginaw County Prosecutor’s Office, to file charges against Brown for felonious assault.
