A Michigan woman reportedly went into a frenzy at a Kids Foot Locker when her payment card was declined, sparking a heated incident that ended in violence. According to authorities, a teenager was stabbed after someone in line allegedly mocked the woman with a derogatory comment about her financial status.

The injured teenager, 19-year-old Suniya Jenkins, shared her story with local Fox affiliate WJBK. Jenkins recounted witnessing the woman’s outburst inside the Kids Foot Locker at the Southland Center mall in Taylor. She was unexpectedly attacked, despite not being the one who reportedly insulted the woman.

Jenkins clarified that she was not responsible for the “broke b—” remark, though she did enter the store out of curiosity after hearing the commotion. The situation escalated quickly, resulting in her being stabbed by the woman.

“It was unjust for me to be attacked,” Jenkins expressed to WJBK, detailing that the suspect allegedly wielded a kitchen knife during the assault. Jenkins sustained wounds to her neck, stomach, and thigh, and is currently dealing with a punctured lung as a result of the attack.

“I think it was unfair to me to get stabbed,” Jenkins told WJBK, noting the woman allegedly used a kitchen knife to stab her neck, stomach and thigh. “To start, I was stabbed four times and I have a punctured lung right now.”

Jenkins alleges that the woman was screaming at people near the Foot Locker register when she began snapping at the teen. She says the woman had children with her.

“As the argument got verbal, she put her hand in her purse and proceeded to tell me she was going to shoot me,” Jenkins alleged. “I did not see or even know I was stabbed until after the physical altercation.”

Police told WJBK that the female suspect was arrested and is expected to be charged.

“I am going to press charges, but it does sadden me because I don”t want her to be taken away from her children, I truly don’t,” Jenkins said.

Police did not respond to Law&Crime’s request for comment. Jenkins is expected to make a full recovery.
