An 18-year-old from Wisconsin is poised to plead guilty to the tragic murders of his mother and stepfather, almost a year after the shocking incident took place.

As per a plea agreement, Nikita Casap, the accused, will see some charges against him dropped, according to a report by WISN.

The bodies of Donald Mayer, 51, and Tatiana Casap, 35, were discovered at their residence in the Village of Waukesha on February 28. Concerned family members had called for a welfare check after losing contact with them for nearly two weeks, CrimeOnline reported.

Authorities apprehended Nikita Casap in Kansas on the same day, having traced the vehicle’s GPS, which belonged to his father. Initially, he faced charges of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and theft of movable property. However, more serious charges were added upon his return to Wisconsin.

Investigations unveiled a chilling motive behind the murders, revealing Casap’s ambition to fund a scheme aimed at “overthrowing the government of the United States and assassinating President Trump.” This plot was detailed in a manifesto titled “Accelerate the Collapse,” according to Law&Crime. The document called for a “political revolution in the United States” to “save the white race” from “Jewish controlled” politicians. Reports indicate Casap had been communicating with a Russian national through the messaging app Telegram to advance his plans.

If his plea deal is accepted, Casap faces up to life in prison without the possibility of extended supervision, WISN said. The charges that would be dropped are hiding a corpse, misappropriating ID information to obtain money, two theft charges, taking and driving a vehicle without consent, and intimidating a witness.

The plea hearing is scheduled for Thursday.
