Tragic Discovery in Search for Miss USA Contender Kada Scott: Investigators Probe Possible Accomplice

The remains of 23-year-old Kada Scott have been discovered in a wooded area behind an abandoned school in East Germantown. This tragic discovery has brought a sorrowful end to the search for Kada, who was last seen after arriving for her shift at an assisted living facility in Chestnut Hill.

The search intensified on Saturday, October 18, following a “very specific” anonymous tip received by authorities late on Friday, October 17. Acting on this information, police focused their efforts around the vacant Ada H. Lewis Middle School.

Prior to this, investigators had already combed through the area surrounding the school and the nearby arboretum in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia. Although they had uncovered some physical evidence, officials had not disclosed the nature of these findings at the time.

As news of the discovery spread, community members gathered near the crime scene tape, expressing their anger and frustration towards the police. Many voiced their belief that the body could have been found sooner, reflecting the community’s deep sense of loss and concern during this difficult time.

Investigators discover a person of interest. As the investigation continued, police determined 23-year-old Keon King of Dover, Delaware, is now a suspect.

Keon King had a criminal record prior to his alleged involvement in Scott’s kidnapping. Investigators say King kidnapped and assaulted another victim earlier in the year.
