According to KTLA, the heartbreaking event occurred around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Fox Hills Drive in West Los Angeles.

Upon arrival, Los Angeles Fire Department responders pronounced the victim, a local resident whose name has yet to be made public, deceased at the scene.
“The driver of the Audi failed to stop, identify themselves, and render aid to the pedestrian as required by law,” the LAPD said in a press release.
