It was an ordinary day at Athens Dental Depot in Columbus, Ohio, until Dr. Spencer Tepe’s unexpected absence stirred concern. His coworkers, taken aback by the dentist’s failure to appear, promptly informed their employer, Dr. Mark Valrose, who was vacationing in Florida.

Dr. Valrose’s initial surprise quickly turned to worry. Dr. Tepe’s absence was highly unusual, prompting Valrose to attempt contacting him directly. When efforts to reach Dr. Tepe proved fruitless, Valrose tried to contact Tepe’s wife, Monique, known for her reliability. With no response from either, the situation grew more concerning.

At 9:03 a.m., Valrose made the decision to call 911 in Columbus, Ohio, to request a wellness check, hoping to ensure the safety and well-being of Dr. Tepe and his wife. The community awaited answers as concern continued to mount over the unexpected and unsettling circumstances.
