Thanksgiving has come and gone, and the Christmas season is fully upon us! As some people are dusting off their holiday decor boxes from the garage, others may be lighting pine-scented candles. Whatever way you get into the festive spirit, one thing many people can agree on is the draw towards holiday entertainment.

While networks like the Hallmark Channel and Lifetime have the cornerstone on cheesy Christmas RomComs, sometimes you just aren’t in the mood for a movie. Lucky for you, there are an increasing number of holiday TV series available to watch.

Streaming sites like Netflix, Hulu, and Peacock have all jumped on the festive entertainment train. From heartwarming and lighthearted romantic comedies to horrifying drama to reality competitions to true crime, there is something for everybody. Here are ten totally bingeworthy holiday series and the places in which you can watch them. Happy Binging!

10/10 DASH & LILY Is A Netflix Miniseries

DASH & LILY is a Netflix original miniseries with eight bingeable episodes. Starring Austin Abrams and Midori Francis, this romantic comedy is directed towards teens/young adults, but can be enjoyed by almost everybody.

It is a fairly lighthearted storyline that also approaches feelings of loneliness, family dynamics, and new adventures. With 20-30 minute episodes, viewers can watch the whole series in a single sitting, although you will likely be left wishing for another season.

9/10 Merry Happy Whatever Stars Some Famous Faces

In 2019, Netflix released a holiday series entitled Merry Happy Whatever. This comedy show features Dennis Quaid, Ashley Tisdale, and Bridgit Mendler. Although she stepped away from the spotlight for a while after her time with Disney, Mendler recently announced new music and jumped back into Hollywood.

This series only has eight episodes, but each one is jam-packed with hilarity. Centered around a strong-willed cop father and his (favorite) daughter who brings home her new boyfriend, their holiday season rises in both stress and shenanigans.

8/10 Hawkeye Is A Marvel Fan’s Holiday Dream

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe were thrilled with last year’s superhero release. Disney+ gave underrated hero Hawkeye his own miniseries last December, and viewers are anxiously awaiting a second season. This show stars Jeremy Renner as the titular character and introduces Hailee Steinfeld into the franchise, as well as featuring Florence Pugh as she reprises her role as Yelena, the Black Widow’s sister.

This action series has it all: comedy, unlikely team-ups, plot twists, and beautifully choreographed fight scenes. All of this takes place over the Christmas season, making it the perfect Marvel watch this season.

7/10 The Santa Clauses Is New To Disney+ This Year

Disney+ has brought another Christmas series to subscribers this year, releasing the first episode in November. Although there are only six episodes in this starting season, fans are excited to see Tim Allen dawn his Santa suit once again.

Allen is joined by other familiar faces from the franchise, including Eric Lloyd and David Krumholtz, as his character realizes he can’t continue being Santa forever. He embarks on a journey to find a suit-able replacement, as well as preparing his family for a new adventure outside of the North Pole.

For those of you who love settling in with stereotypical feel-good Christmas films, Home for Christmas is for you. This Netflix RomCom has two seasons available to watch, and was originally filmed in Norwegian, so you will be introduced to some new stars (don’t worry –you can switch on English closed captions).

Johanne, who seems to be perpetually single, sets a challenge for herself: take the next 24 days to find a boyfriend she can bring home for Christmas so that the comments on her relationship status (or lack thereof) will finally cease.

5/10 Over Christmas Has One Season On Netflix

Over Christmas has one series on Netflix that is ready to binge. While it was created in Germany, you can also watch it in the English language. This comedy stems from a mess of family dysfunction during the holidays.

Bastian travels home for Christmas only to discover that his ex and his brother are now an item. Through this sibling rivalry, the two end up uncovering a family secret that had been buried for years, leading to a closer connection between the brothers.

4/10 The Great Christmas Light Fight Has 10 Bingeworthy Seasons

If reality TV is more your speed, there are many options for you! One of which is The Great Christmas Light Fight, which currently has 10 bingeable seasons. This series can be screened on Hulu and features families across the United States.

Every episode focuses on four different holiday home transformations through Christmas decor, lights, and various representations of holiday cheer. Whoever the judges deem have the most spirited display wins a cash prize. Who are you rooting for this season?

3/10 Great British Baking Show: Holidays Is A Lighthearted Series

Another option for reality series watchers is Great British Baking Show: Holidays. This spinoff is a Netflix original and just released its fifth season this year. While the vibes this show gives off are generally lighthearted and fun, it still holds the stereotypical controversy now and then.

This show brings a few contestants that were previously on the main series, Great British Baking Show, to once again compete against each other in condensed episodes. Each series is focused on holiday bakes and puts you in the mood to celebrate! And maybe whip up some cookies…

2/10 Elves Is A Christmas Drama On Netflix

If feel-good, lighthearted, and romance aren’t your cup of tea, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. When you think of elves during the holidays, perhaps the North Pole or Elf on a Shelf are the images that come to mind.

Netflix has other ideas. Elves is a Danish Netflix series that takes the holidays and puts a horrific, dramatic spin on the season. A family who planned a problem-free Christmas vacation on a remote island quickly discovers they aren’t alone when a population of terrifying elves make themselves known. And yes, this titillating series has an English closed-captions option.

1/10 Peacock’s True-Crime Series Homicide For The Holidays Has 4 Seasons

The general public and celebrities alike often adore true crime stories. If you fit into this category, Homicide for the Holidays is the show for you. This true-crime series focuses on stories reported between Thanksgiving and New Years, a time when most people are celebrating the holidays.

This show just released its fourth season this November, giving viewers several seasons of bingeworthy content. Peacock is the place to find this highly-rated show, and all the episodes are now available to stream.
