I’ve always loved sending Christmas cards. For some people, the holidays can feel extra stressful, so I usually write each friend and family member a note to wish them a happy holiday season. I think it can help spread a little extra cheer.

However, this year, I convinced my boyfriend to take photos with our puppy and me with Shoott, a company that offers free 30-minute photoshoots with a professional photographer in your local area. All you have to do is pay for the photos, and actually, the company has been offering a lot of deals on those lately, too. I love how our photos turned out — I purchased 10 of them — and used a few to make more personalized Christmas cards this year.

Once I had the photos, I did a lot of research to find the best place to order Christmas cards. Being a perfectionist, I probably mocked up about 10 cards before deciding on a single one.

If you already have a great photo from the year that you want to use, take a look below at five of the best places to order Christmas cards online that are affordable, ship fast and look really nice. Keep in mind that most of these places offer deals today that end tomorrow, so order fast!

1. Artifact Uprising

I ended up using Artifact Uprising to make our Christmas cards. I liked a lot of its designs, and I got 25% off my order with code SPREADJOY. Also, it took only seven days for me to get my cards after placing my order. That’s pretty quick for a custom photo card, and I didn’t pay for expedited shipping or anything.

Artifact Uprising makes Christmas cards, photo books, calendars and more, often with recycled papers. It also offers reclaimed options throughout its product line, and everything is made in the U.S.

2. Minted

Minted is another great option! I really liked its holiday card designs and found it easy to customize my own. It has everything from cute and classy to trendier card options. It’s also pretty reliable — I know when I order from Minted, I can trust that it will look great. You can choose to send your design as-is straight to print or take advantage of Minted’s full-service proofing at no extra cost. This is where the company double-checks everything to make sure it looks perfect. You’ll get an official proof within one to two days via email, and if it looks good to go, then you can send it to printing.

However, overall, it’s not the most affordable place to order from on this list. Right now, you can get 20% off holiday cards and free shipping with code SNOW2022.

3. Paper Culture

Paper Culture offers card designs similar to the other two companies on this list. However, its paper products are more sustainably made. All cards and envelopes are produced with 100% recycled materials, and the company is a certified B Corp.

In addition to its sustainability, the brand doesn’t charge you to design the back of your card, and it will even mail your cards for you. Paper Source is currently having a big sale where you can get 50% off holiday cards, so if you’ve wanted to order some, do it now.
