Tom portrays Danny Sullivan, a young man who is arrested on suspicion of committing a bone-chilling crime and slowly reveals details about his fragile psyche during interviews with an interrogator, played by Amanda.
Emmy stars as the mother of Tom’s character which is a stretch as they are only nine years apart in age.
The program also boasts a cast that is rounded out by the likes of Sasha Lane and Jason Isaacs.
The Crowded Room is set to premiere on AppleTV+ on June 9.
