Two-time Golden Globe winner Angela Bassett and her husband – two-time Emmy winner Courtney B. Vance – glammed up to host the fourth annual Elizabeth Taylor Ball to End AIDS at the Beverly Hills Hotel in Beverly Hills on Thursday.
The Detroit-born 63-year-old and the New York-born 65-year-old – who originally met in 1980 while studying at the Yale School of Drama – will impressively celebrate their 26th wedding anniversary on October 12.
Angela shimmered in a single-strap silver-pleated gown, a pearly-silver box clutch, diamond necklace and earrings, but curiously did not wear her wedding ring.
Bassett looked banging in a long raven fringed wig and she had a baby pink manicure for the Gilead Sciences and Bulgari-supported gala.
The 9-1-1 producer-star’s suspiciously-unlined complexion was fully contoured with lots of blush on her cheekbones and a vampy shade on her pout.

The SAG Foundation president will next portray veteran criminal mastermind Jeremy Horne in Menhaj Huda’s 1988 Chicago-set bank heist drama Heist 88 – based on a true story – which premieres September 29 on Showtime/Paramount+.
The Pentecostal Evangelical Christian couple both executive produced Heist 88 through their Bassett/Vance Productions.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences will award Bassett with an honorary Oscar during the 14th Governors Awards, which will be held January 9, 2024 after being postponed due to the WGA and SAG/AFTRA strikes.
The strikes also postponed the October 13 premiere of Netflix’s fantasy Damsel in which the Horizon Forbidden West actress plays Lady Bayford, the stepmother of Princess Elodie (Millie Bobby Brown).
Juan Carlos Fresnadillo’s $70M-budget film also features Robin Wright, Ray Winstone, Nick Robinson, Ricky Guillart, Brooke Carter, and Shohreh Aghdashloo.
Bassett will also eventually resume her role as LAPD patrol sergeant Athena Grant in the seventh season of Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear’s first responder drama 9-1-1, which will move from Fox to ABC next year.
