Bobby Brown proudly announced on Wednesday that popular R&B group, New Edition, will be coming together once again for a special tour beginning in March 2023.
The talented singer, 53, is just one of six members in the successful group, who gained recognition in the 1980s with hit tracks such as Candy Girl (1983).
Bobby, who was previously married to the late singer, Whitney Houston, said he believed the group has a ‘brotherhood’ that is ‘unstoppable.’

The performer happily gushed to TMZ that the group, which was formed in 1978, had plans to reunite on the stage once again for a tour that is slated to begin in March 2023.
Over the years, the six members, which include Bobby, Michael Bivins, Ricky Bell, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill, and Ralph Tresvant, have done solo projects or formed smaller subgroups.
However, Bobby revealed that New Edition members still have remained close, explaining, ‘That’s the power of the group.’
The Don’t Be Cruel singer further expressed that, ‘We have a brotherhood that is probably unstoppable. We take pride in what we do.’

Bobby, who founded the group himself in Boston, added to the publication that, ‘New Edition is forever!’
The group recently performed together during The Culture Tour, which began earlier this year in February and came to an end three months later in April.
While the singer expressed that the upcoming 2023 tour will start in March of next year, exact dates and locations have yet to be revealed.
After New Edition was formed, which was inspired by the Jackson 5, the group reached its height of fame in the 1980s, and released tracks such as Cool It Now (1984).
In 1985, Bobby left the group to pursue his own solo career, with Johnny Gill being recruited to take his place.

In 1996, New Edition reunited all of its six members to record an album titled, Home Again. Along with banding together to record music, the members have also gone on other tours over the years for devoted fans.
Earlier in 2011, the R&B group held a 30th anniversary celebration tour to honor the release of their Candy Girl album.
Aside of growing a dedicated fanbase, New Edition has also received countless awards and accolades for their contribution to the music industry.
The members have garnered two American Music Awards, two Soul Train Awards, along with a Soul Train Lifetime Achievement Award.
In 2017, New Edition received its own Hollywood Walk of Fame star, and was officially inducted into the Black Music & Entertainment Walk of Fame this year in February.

Towards the end of his brief interview with TMZ, the topic of the upcoming biographical musical of Whitney Houston called, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, was discussed.
The film, which the star admitted that he knew nothing about, is set to premiere later this month on December 23. Bobby was notably married to the I Will Always Love You singer from 1992 until 2007.
Moonlight actor, Ashton Sanders, was cast to portray Bobby in the movie, and the New Edition member expressed that he hopes the actor can pull off playing him.
Directed by Kasi Lemmons, Whitney will be played by actress Naomi Ackie, along with Stanley Tucci portraying Clive Davis, her record producer.
Following his first marriage to the late star, Bobby later married his manager and friend, Alicia Etheredge, in 2012. The couple share three children together.
In total, Brown has fathered seven children. Over the course of his previous marriage to Whitney, the two welcomed one child, a daughter, named Bobbi Kristina Brown. However, she tragically passed away at the age 22 in 2015 due to drug abuse.
His son, Bobby Brown Jr., whom he shared with ex Kim Ward, also passed away due to drug abuse in 2020.
