Television sports presenter Cameron Williams grabbed his wife’s arm during a boozy argument at the couple’s rural retreat on the weekend, police will allege in court.
Williams and wife Natasha Russo spent Saturday with two long-time friends on a working bee at the couple’s property in the New South Wales Hunter Valley.
The group began drinking after downing tools and there was allegedly an argument between Williams and Ms Russo late on Saturday night which their friends did not witness but heard from another room.
One of the friends called Triple Zero and police attended the property in Howes Valley, about 50km south-west of Singleton, just after 1am on Sunday.

NSW police issued a statement on Sunday afternoon saying officers were called to the property following reports of a domestic incident.

‘The Coogee man was granted conditional bail to appear at Singleton Local Court on Thursday 24 November 2022.’
As part of the AVO, Williams must not approach or be in the company of Ms Russo for at least 12 hours after drinking alcohol or taking illicit drugs.

The alleged altercation at Howes Valley came months after the high-profile newsreader stepped down from his role at Channel Nine citing ‘health reasons’.
‘It’s with a heavy heart I have decided to resign from Nine,’ Williams wrote to colleagues in March.
‘Leaving the best team in News is difficult and being part of that team an honour.
‘But I have struggled for years with increasingly poor health and I want to address that now for the sake of a more important team, my family.’
