Major congratulations are in order for TLC’s Chilli. The third member of the history-making R&B group is going to be a grandmother as her son Tron Austin and his wife announced that they are expecting their first baby!
The journey to become parents has been a long and arduous one for the couple. The 26-year-old detailed the their pregnancy journey in a recent post on Instagram where he announced the amazing news.
“WE ARE PREGNANT!! 👶🏻FINALLY WE CAN OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE OUR DAUGHTER 🌙 LUNA WANG AUSTIN 🌙 will be here in March 2024! To my wife I am so proud of you witnessing you going through so much just to get our beautiful baby here I am in awe of your efforts and I am blessed and honored by Jesus himself to begin this journey with you I love you so much you are going to be the best mother EVER !”
The singer continued, “We came a long way 5 years later we are married and expecting our first child. loyalty goes a long way ❤️🔥🥰 She went through: 2 HSG procedures , 1 hysteroscopy , removal of both tubes and scar tissue’s from hernia & appendicitis surgeries , 1 egg retrieval, 1 miscarriage 🕊️ And still stayed strong through the whole thing!#IVF has tested us and blessed us through a year and a half journey.”
Tron concluded his post by saying that, “We will be the best parents for our little one and we just cannot wait for her to be here 👶🏻🥰 🤰 P.S HAPPY 5 YEAR ANNIVERSARY BABY I hope you enjoy the diaper bag hehe😉👶🏻❤️🐉 #pregnant#firstchild#ivfjourney#thankyoujesus”
Additionally, the excited soon-to-be father shared one of Luna’s first pics in his stories calling his daughter, “a miracle.”
In a previous interview with People Magazine, Tron discusses his appearance on Paramount+’s Family Legacy. In the series, he talks in depth about growing up on the road with TLC and his hopes about becoming a father, stating that he wants to raise his child just as he was raised.
“We see the backstage, we see the costumes coming off of microphones and I don’t think that people get to see that part, that we really appreciate our parents a lot for doing what they do and putting themselves on the line like that,” he said in his interview at the time.
“It’s a very hard job and you can’t be there all the time, even when you have kids, you have to keep going in this direction. As an aspiring father, I think of how I want to do similar with my kids. I want to make sure I’m there as much as possible, but that they also understand that daddy needs to do what daddy needs to do, and it doesn’t change the love between us.”
Congratulations, to the parents-to-be! We cannot wait to meet Luna Wang Austin!
