A Chinese entrepreneur, Ross Boss, has openly challenged the credibility of popular Nigerian social media influencer, Verydarkman (VDM), accusing him of disseminating misinformation about various businesses to attract online notoriety.

Ross took to Facebook to air his grievances, detailing his discontent with what he sees as VDM’s habit of targeting individuals and organizations without providing substantial evidence.

Ross Boss slams VDM for allegedly spreading unverified claims

He pointed out that, although holding the government accountable is crucial, spreading baseless accusations against businesses leads to both financial setbacks and damage to their reputations.

He makes claims of gifting VDM iPhone, clothes…

Ross further claimed that VDM, despite having benefited from his generosity through gifts such as clothing and an iPhone, persists in publicly disparaging him and others.

He criticized VDM for not making significant contributions to job creation or product development, suggesting that the influencer primarily relies on social media disputes to generate income.

His words …

“In America, you can criticize the government, but you shouldn’t criticize businesses without proof. Criticizing the government makes them fair and open. But businesses create jobs and benefits. Spreading lies about them hurts, and it costs them a lot to fix.

This young guy, VDM, is the only bad one Ross has seen. Why? He uses an iPhone paid for by Ross, wears clothes paid for by Ross, but spreads lies about Ross and the people he loves. VDM hasn’t created a single job or sold a single product. He makes money on Facebook by spreading rumors to get attention.

Ross criticizes VDM and his strong supporters out of love. VDM supporters, ask yourself: Have you ever bought VDM an iPhone? Has VDM ever bought you $200 glasses? No. If you love your wife but won’t spend a penny on her, that’s not love—it’s deceit. VDM and his supporters are fooling each other. That’s the truth. You can say Nigeria’s government is corrupt—that’s a fact. But saying someone who criticizes corruption is a scammer? That’s not fair.

VDM says his fans are poor, so he plans to sell phone accessories, not electric cars. Why? His supporters spend all their time watching his rumors instead of working. What do they get from following VDM? Nothing. Not a single penny. But VDM gets paid by Facebook. Isn’t he using his supporters? Yes. Shouldn’t he teach them skills to earn a living instead of wasting their time with nonsense?

Real businesspeople don’t take VDM seriously. Ross doesn’t post about this bad kid on Chinese social media, telling everyone to attack him on Facebook. Why? VDM is young and doesn’t know better. Ross hopes he hears the criticism, changes his ways, and does something to truly help people. That’s loving and saving him, not letting him lose himself.

VDM supporters, go work hard, earn money, and take care of your families. Stop shouting all day. Thanks to those who support Ross.”
