Christopher Biggins makes a sly dig at THAT iconic Gillian McKeith fainting moment

Christopher Biggins couldn’t resist making a sly dig at I’m A Celebrity legend Gillian McKeith on Friday morning.

The actor, 73, who was crowned the winner back in 2007, appeared on This Morning alongside Carol Vorderman, who competed on the show in 2016.

The duo discussed their time in the I’m A Celeb jungle, while Christopher brought up that ‘awful’ Gillian fainting moment.

While discussing trials on this year’s show, Carol admitted: ‘We do love the screamers though, don’t we? The ones that don’t do that well’

Christopher responded: ‘Well of course and the people who don’t do it, I mean that awful Gillian Mckeith who fainted every time she looked down.’

He added: ‘I know exactly, knowing the jungle, I know where I would have buried her.’

Presenter Alison Hammond then reminded Christopher that Gillian doesn’t like it when people call her faint ‘fake’ as she previously almost ‘took Carol’s head off for it’.

Christopher added: ‘She lives in a fantasy world then, she was awful!’

The dramatic scenes came after viewers earlier saw her reveal she was feeling ‘mentally exhausted’ after refusing to take part in her sixth unforgiving challenge.

It’s been disputed down the years whether Gillian’s faint was real, with Britt Ekland declaring: ‘She’s maybe as good of an actress as I am.’

The writer proved to be one of the series’ standout stars as she was exposed for smuggling condiments into camp using specially-made underwear.

Telling the Daily Star last year that she ‘definitely’ still suffers from PTSD last year, Gillian went as far as to call her condition ‘uncontrollable’.

She said: ‘Since that jungle trial, the one where I was buried under the ground in a coffin and rats landed on top of me, it still feels like yesterday.

‘What has happened is, every time I have to go into a small space like a lift, I feel like I’m going to start screaming.

‘I feel an intense rising panic that I simply can’t control. I went in without claustrophobia and came out with it.’

Christopher went on to tell This Morning presenters Alison and Dermot O’Leary about his own jungle experience.

He explained: ‘I think ITV don’t want anyone to die so they are careful, I remember we played one day with a spider in camp and the spider ended up being poisonous so people ran in, we could have died.’

The I’m a Celebrity all-star spin off show is set to run alongside the normal series of the show in 2023.

Christopher revealed he has no plans to return to the jungle, admitting he isn’t ready to risk giving up his crown.

While You Are What You Eat star Gillian and TV presenter Carol are thought to be heading in to the jungle once again.

Christopher said: 'Well of course and the people who don't do it, I mean that awful Gillian Mckeith who fainted every time she looked down.'
