Prominent human rights advocate, Omoyele Sowore, has shared his reasons for supporting actress Regina Daniels in her ongoing marital conflict with her estranged spouse, Senator Ned Nwoko.
Sowore stepped into the spotlight following the arrest and subsequent release of Regina’s brother, Sammy. He accused Ned Nwoko of conspiring against Regina and her family, stating that remaining silent would contradict his role as a human rights defender.
He alleged that the billionaire had orchestrated plans to arrest Regina’s mother and had been eavesdropping on her phone conversations, intending to use this information against her. Sowore further claimed that Nwoko aimed to publicly reveal her private affairs and history.
Clarifying his position, Sowore stated:
“I fight for human rights regardless of whether you support me or not. Your support or love for me is not a condition for me to create a society that is fair. I hate it when people use their power… to punish people because they think they can get away with it.”
He stressed that his advocacy is rooted in justice and fairness, not popularity or selective support, and that no one should be targeted for personal gain or revenge.
The allegations sparked reactions online, with some Nigerians praising Sowore for his consistency in defending human rights, while others expressed shock at the claims against Nwoko.
Sowore insists that justice for Regina Daniels and her family is non-negotiable, vowing not to back down until Ned Nwoko is fully held accountable for his alleged actions.
