Excitement is bubbling over at BravoCon as fans eagerly anticipate the return of the hit series, Below Deck Down Under. Mark your calendars for Monday, February 2, when the new season sets sail on Bravo at 8 p.m. ET/PT, kicking off with an extended 75-minute episode. Viewers already got a tantalizing taste of what’s to come during a special crossover episode with the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, which introduced the Season 4 crew. Returning to steer the luxurious motor yacht, Katina, is Captain Jason Chambers. Joining him are franchise favorites Chef Ben Robinson, Chief Stew Daisy Kelliher, who is transitioning from Below Deck Sailing Yacht, and Second Officer João Franco. Together, they will navigate the serene waters of Canouan, a secluded Caribbean paradise accessible only by charter plane.
After a challenging previous season marred by troublesome crew dynamics, Captain Jason is determined to chart a steadier course. The newly released trailer hints at his resolve, as he personally selects Robinson, Kelliher, and Franco to lead his team. “This season, I need professional, seasoned heads of department,” he asserts during a candid outdoor dinner with his department heads. “There’s no room for chaos out here.”
Yet, a season of Below Deck Down Under wouldn’t be complete without its fair share of drama. Fans can look forward to witnessing the yachties’ side of an unforgettable charter with the RHOSLC ladies and seeing the friction that arises when three powerhouse personalities share close quarters. Chef Robinson, returning to the culinary fray after some time away, faces the challenge of readjusting to the high-pressure galley life. The trailer teases tension between him and Kelliher, highlighting his penchant for luxury—like indulging in bubble baths in guest cabins—which rubs her the wrong way.
Kelliher, meanwhile, must navigate her new professional landscape, adjusting to a new captain and the intricacies of working on a motor yacht, complete with its quirks and endless stairs. Though she locks horns with Robinson, she finds an unexpected ally in Franco. In a revealing moment from the trailer, Kelliher opens up to Franco in her cabin, expressing frustration over Robinson’s antics. “Ben, the way he behaves on this boat is outrageous,” she confides while Franco listens attentively.
Franco’s interest in Kelliher is more than just professional camaraderie; the trailer hints at a budding romance. Scenes of them sharing light moments, holding hands, and even stealing a kiss suggest something deeper brewing between them. However, this complicates the dynamic with Robinson. “Joao has got an agenda with Daisy,” Robinson remarks in the crew mess, hinting at brewing tensions. Things come to a head as the trailer shows a fiery exchange between Robinson and Franco, with tempers flaring after a night out. “Fuck yourself, asshole,” Robinson shouts at a shirtless Franco in the hallway. “Now fuck off, you fucking wanker!”
Will Captain Jason’s dream team sink the Katina or will the three of them be able to come together and lead the crew? You’ll have to wait until February 2026 to find out!
