Renowned Nollywood icon Eucharia Anunobi recently opened up about how she secured her memorable role in the classic film Glamour Girls 2, a milestone that happened nearly thirty years ago.
During a candid chat on The Honest Bunch Podcast, Anunobi recounted her journey to landing the part. She attended an audition, where she embraced the challenge of portraying the unique character, Anita.
Reflecting on her experience, Anunobi mentioned that the compensation she received for her role was significantly high for that era.
“Once I committed to playing Anita in Glamour Girls 2, the producer inquired about my fee. I stated my price, anticipating a negotiation, but to my surprise, he agreed immediately,” she shared.
Anunobi added that she later wished she had asked for more money, even though the amount she received was significant.
“I regretted not demanding more than what I demanded, though it was huge money at that time. I mean big money,” she said.
“The money they paid me for Glamour Girls Part 2, some people are not collecting it today. I say it and I beat my chest,” she added.
However, the actress declined to reveal the exact amount when asked by the podcast host, Husband Material.
Anunobi also spoke about the famous bathtub scene she acted with Zack Orji in the film. She explained that despite widespread speculation at the time, nothing inappropriate happened during the filming of the scene.
“When I got to the bathtub, I had to raise my leg and put it on his shoulder and push my derrière nearer him… That was the high point of the movie. Everybody was thinking something don happen. But it was just acting,” she said.
The actress also revealed that she was paid extra for the controversial scene.
