Woman Shares Experience of Alleged Misdiagnosis of Stage 3 Cancer at a ‘Reputable’ Nigerian Medical Facility
A woman recently turned to social media to share a concerning story about her encounter with a prominent Nigerian hospital, where she claims she was misdiagnosed with stage 3 cancer.
In her account, she detailed how the unnamed hospital advised her to undergo a biopsy in July, which came with a hefty price tag of N150K.
After the procedure, the physician reportedly sent her the test results, informing her of a cancer diagnosis. However, he reassured her that her youth would aid in her recovery.
She expressed that the diagnosis plunged her into deep emotional distress, as she feared her life was effectively over.
The lady revealed that after meeting with her consultant, they had proposed carrying out a chemotherapy for her, also informing her that she might not be able to have kids.
She noted that she consented to the procedure upon which she was exposed to radiation.
Although in her account, she didn’t give details as to the exact moment she found out that she didn’t have the disease.
She however vowed to sue the hospital. She noted that the management are asking her to settle out of court, but she has refused, insisting on waiting for the court hearing.
“I will drag them; I’m waiting for the court hearing. They’re saying we should settle out of court,” she vowed.
