Before dating Cardi, Diggs had a daughter, Nova, 8, with ex-girlfriend Tyler-Marie, a model and social media personality. While the two are no longer romantically involved, they’ve maintained a cooperative co-parenting relationship centered on giving Nova a happy, balanced upbringing. Although they lead separate lives, both parents are known to keep things amicable and private, focusing on Nova’s milestones and celebrating her growth together.
In 2022, fans couldn’t help but fall in love with a clip of Diggs running with his daughter on the NFL field. The clip, posted to X, shows his daughter in a matching uniform as she tries to keep pace with her famous father.
Now, Diggs is ready to celebrate his first child with Cardi. On Sept. 17, 2025, Cardi posted a clip to Instagram in anticipation of her new album and tour. Beneath the post, Diggs commented, “100% team boy,” indicating that he wants the baby to be a little boy.
Stefon Diggs is currently facing a high-profile paternity dispute after Instagram model Aileen Lopera, also known as Lord Gisselle, filed a lawsuit in December 2024 claiming he fathered her daughter, Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, who was born in April 2025, according to The U.S. Sun. In her filing, Lopera requested sole legal and physical custody of the child. She offered Diggs visitation rights and sought child support, pregnancy-related expenses, and attorney’s fees.
Diggs has responded by questioning the claim and formally requesting a DNA test to confirm paternity. According to court documents, a judge approved a stipulation in July 2025 for both parties to undergo genetic testing, but the results have not been made public. Diggs has stated that if the test confirms he is the father, he wants joint legal and physical custody and is willing to share financial responsibilities tied to the pregnancy and birth.
The timing of the allegations has added to public interest, as they emerged just as Diggs and rapper Cardi B announced they are expecting a child together.
Cardi B got straight to the point while talking about her future on CBS Mornings.
“Yes, I’m having a baby with my boyfriend, Stefon Diggs,” she said on the talk show. “I’m excited; I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space. I feel very strong, very powerful, that I’m doing all this work, but I’m doing all this work while I’m creating a baby.”
She went on to call Diggs “very supportive” of her, and her of him. “We’re in the same space in our careers. … I feel like we’re really great, and one of the best at what we do,” she continued. “And me and him think the same way. Like, yeah, we’re one of the greatest, but, what’s next? We do it again. We have to do it again all the time.”
