Jana Kramer announced she will be releasing a new book called The Next Chapter.
In the upcoming literary effort the 39-year-old country star — who just got engaged — will discuss how she grieved the demise of her marriage to Mike Caussin and ultimately found happiness.
Speaking to People, she noted, ‘I wish I had this book when I was going through my divorce, because I would be able to, A, relate to someone and go, “OK, what might I be going through?” or, “Oh yes, that’s exactly how I’m feeling.”‘
‘We just put the words on paper, and The Next Chapter has come to life,’ she added.
Kramer previously released a book with Caussin titled The Good Fight: Wanting to Leave, Choosing to Stay, and the Powerful Practice of Loving Faithfully.

Kramer, who shares 7-year-old daughter Jolie and 4-year-old son Jace with the former NFL star, told People: ‘You go through so many emotions.
‘I’ve seen friends now get divorced and I’m like, “I know exactly the moment you’re at, but I promise you in four months, you’ll be here.” But you don’t see it when you’re in it.’
The singer-songwriter also noted that the forthcoming book highlights her personal journey, rather than focusing on Caussin.
In addition to her post-divorce life, she also discusses childhood trauma and the effects of an abusive relationship.
‘I don’t want the book to be about [Mike]. This book is about me,’ she explained to the publication.
‘This book is about reflecting on my journey, and then looking in the mirror going, “OK, what did I miss? What can I do better on? What can I learn from?”‘
The book took shape from diary entries Jana wrote day-to-day and month-to-month following her split from her ex.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, the entertainer wrote to her two million followers, ‘I have been working on this book for over 2 years and I’m so excited it’ll be in your hands soon.
‘This book is a year diary from the day I filed divorce papers, to a year later and all that I’ve learned since.’
The caption, which accompanied a photo of her book cover, continued: ‘This book isn’t a tell all about my ex, but more stories that made me realize the end was near and the day I knew I had to walk away.
‘I bring you back to stories that cover my first abusive relationship, to my journey with anxiety and how I started to believe that I deserved good things.’
And the mom-of-two clarified, ‘This book isn’t about finding a new relationship and falling in love. This book is about the journey to loving myself and all the missteps along the way. Taking ownership for what I needed to work on, and all the beautiful lessons that came from the darkness.’
She also noted that it ‘details the hardest, most rewarding year of my life. And to finding hope in the darkest of times.’
The book news comes on the heels of her engagement to Scottish soccer coach Allan Russell after six-and-a-half months of dating.
‘I am just so happy. If you would’ve told me two-and-a-half years ago that I would be here, I would’ve been like, there’s no possible way,’ she admitted to People.
‘But once I started believing that I deserved it, that’s when things started to change,’ she added.

Jana said Allan’s marriage proposal was ‘very sentimental and it just felt right.’
‘When you’re healthy, you attract healthy,’ Jana said in her chat with People.
‘If something were to happen, you can walk away going, “OK, I tried.” I’d rather live a life of trying than live a life of a cold heart, and not putting myself out there.’
The best-selling author’s latest output is set to be released on October 23, 2023
