MAFS AU: Jesse admits he could have ‘done better’ by wife Claire

Married At First Sight’s Jesse Burford has admitted he could have ‘done better’ by his wife Claire Nomarhas on the show. 

Jesse sabotaged the couple’s marriage with his list of ‘icks’ with him telling TV Week magazine he wasn’t proud of his portrayal.  

‘In hindsight, there were definitely moments I could have done better,’ Jesse told the publication.

‘But I did the best I could with what I knew at the time.’ 

The star went on to say his ‘ick list’ was not to completely write-off a person, but just more general annoyances. 

‘My prior relationships were riddled with ”icks” that I tolerated for years at the cost of my heart,’ he added.

Jesse and Claire are already in trouble after he caught the ire of fans of the show after making dismissive off-camera remarks to Claire.   

The marriage celebrant ‘shushed’ his new bride when she was ‘too loud’ at the airport on the way to their honeymoon in the Whitsundays.

Claire soon got upset and began to ‘second guess’ everything she was saying, and how she said it.

Viewers tuning in at home were less than impressed, with several sharing their thoughts on Twitter.  

‘Has there ever, in the history of humanity, been a time where shh-ing someone has improved the situation? NOPE!’ complained one person.

‘God forbid a woman be excited or express herself in public. I cannot with this ‘man’,’ one more chimed in.
