Maggie Baugh Takes the Stage with Keith Urban Amidst Buzzing Affair Speculations

Keith Urban’s guitarist, Maggie Baugh, was notably absent from his performance in Nashville, amid reports of his divorce from Nicole Kidman.

Urban, aged 57, wrapped up his High and Alive tour at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Friday, October 17. While Urban was performing in Tennessee, Baugh, 25, updated her Instagram followers that she was in a different state.

In a brief video posted to her Instagram Story, Baugh appeared in a red top, black mini skirt, and coordinating hat. The footage seemed to have been taken in a backstage dressing room just before her own concert in Carmel, Indiana.

“Indiana! See you guys soon,” she captioned the clip.

The High and Alive World Tour, which began earlier this year, featured Baugh as Urban’s guitarist and occasional violinist. Their professional relationship began in 2024 when Urban invited Baugh to perform with him at the CMT Awards, leading to her eventually becoming a permanent member of his band.

When news broke in September that Kidman had filed for divorce from Urban after nearly 20 years of marriage, footage of Urban’s past concerts began to resurface online of Urban and Baugh on stage together. The videos — which featured Urban changing the lyrics to his song “The Fighter,” which is about Kidman, while pointing at Baugh and giving her a shout out — sparked speculation that there was something romantic going on between them.

Maggie Baugh has taken time away from Keith Urban’s tour amid his divorce from Nicole Kidman. Baugh has been a guitar player on Urban’s High and Alive World Tour, which kicked off earlier this year. The pair first collaborated in 2024, when Urban asked her to perform with him at the CMT Music Awards. After […]

Neither Urban or Baugh have spoken out about the allegations, but Baugh’s father addressed the affair rumors via his Facebook page last month. “NO. Just No,” he wrote in response to someone claiming that Baugh contributed to Urban and Kidman’s divorce. (Kidman officially cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, per documents obtained by Us Weekly. She also was granted “primary residential parent” of their two daughters, Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14.)

Urban, for his part, has since removed “The Fighter” from his setlist. Baugh has also been missing from Urban’s tour band since Kidman filed for divorce, as the guitarist is busy with her solo career. (Natalie Stovall has taken her place in the primary position.)

Baugh currently has multiple shows of her own scheduled throughout October and November across the country and recently announced her new song, “The Devil Wins,” which she released on October 10.

“I don’t know what the hell I believe in / I don’t know how to heal my soul,” Baugh croons in the country track, which deals with the struggle of fighting “feelings” in “tempting” situations. “Or how to fight this feeling and it’s a damn good place to go / No matter how close I get to burning the edge / Tempting as it is, I won’t let the Devil win.”

TMZ reported earlier this month that there were “no plans” for Baugh to return to Urban’s tour due to “logistics” in scheduling. Urban was also forced to cancel his Greenville, South Carolina, show on Thursday, October 16, due to illness after being advised by a doctor to focus on his health.

The Bon Secours Wellness Arena released a statement on their website on Thursday, telling fans, “Urban has been advised by his longtime laryngologist Dr. Gaelyn Garrett, from the Vanderbilt Voice Center, to cancel his performance in Greenville, SC at Bon Secours Wellness Arena due to laryngitis which began earlier this week.” (Per the Mayo Clinic, Laryngitis is a type of inflammation that affects the voice box which can become inflamed from overuse, irritation or infection.)

Keith Urban appeared on stage for the first time since his divorce from wife Nicole Kidman made headlines. The singer did not wear his wedding ring and was in good spirits during his Thursday, October 2, concert at Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, which Us Weekly attended. While performing “Kiss a Girl,” Urban took a […]

The venue noted that anyone who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster would have “refunds issued immediately.”

Urban also shared a personal apology via the venue’s website.

“Hey Greenville, I’m so SO sorry to have to cancel the show …. I know all the logistics it takes to get to a concert these days and I’ve never taken any of that, or any of YOU for granted,” Urban said in a statement. “I’m looking forward to getting back there when we can!!!!!”
