Manager of D4vd Ends Lease After LAPD Raid

While D4vd has not been arrested or named a person of interest in the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas at this time, celebrities have spent the last several days distancing themselves from him. He’s also been busy canceling shows, turning off comments on Instagram, and, as it turns out, changing addresses. In the days since the LAPD executed a raid on a home in the Hollywood Hills where D4vd was staying, his manager, who rented the $20,000 per month property, has been in contact with the landlord. According to the homeowner, the tenants, who include D4vd, are in the process of moving out after breaking their lease. They are splitting pretty soon after the raid, which is raising alarm bells for some online sleuths.

The LAPD executed a raid on a Hollywood Hills home associated with D4vd

On September 18, members of the Los Angeles Police Department executed a raid on a home in the same Hollywood Hills neighborhood where a Tesla, registered to D4vd, was impounded earlier in the month. Days after the car was towed away, police were called to a nearby impound lot after a strong smell emanated from the truck, raising alarms. Inside the front trunk of the electric vehicle, police located the remains of a teenage girl.

It took several days, but police eventually identified the remains as belonging to Celeste Rivas, a teenager who went missing from her home in Lake Elsinore, California, a city about 75 miles from where her body was found. She had been missing for over a year. D4vd continued touring as normal until the remains were identified. After the police named the victim, he canceled the rest of his domestic tour dates. Later, Ticketmaster pulled its international dates from its site. The musician, whose legal name is David Anthony Burke, is reportedly cooperating with the police.

The LAPD has not issued a statement on what, if anything, was found inside the residence or who it may have belonged to. According to ABC7 Los Angeles, detectives were seen removing electronics from the property, though. Further information is not being made available by the police at this time.

The musician and his manager are moving out

While the LAPD isn’t talking, online sleuths have been busy trying to connect the dots between D4vd and Celeste Rivas. While his music and alleged Discord chats paint a troubling picture, no person of interest has been officially identified. Still, D4vd is making moves, or his manager is. He is apparently in the process of moving out of the raided home.

The Daily Mail caught up with the property owner, who was forthcoming with information. The owner, Mladen Trifunovic, told the outlet that his property manager rented the four-bedroom home to a man named Josh Marshall in February 2024. He has been working as D4vd’s manager for several years. Apparently, there had been no problems at the home. Trifunovic was completely unaware that D4vd was also staying there.

He explained to the outlet that moving trucks were in the process of removing the manager and musician’s property from the home. Trifunovic clarified that they had opted to break the lease. He did not know what the police found, if the deceased teen was connected to the property, or how long D4vd had actually been living at the home. The homeowner has not been in contact with the LAPD. He is unaware of where the 20-year-old R&B artist and his manager were headed next.

This is a rapidly developing story.
