Dwight Howard and Royce Reed celebrated their son Braylon Howard’s milestone 18th birthday with heartfelt messages on Instagram.
Each parent took to social media to reminisce about their journey with Braylon and to acknowledge the promising young man he is becoming. Howard shared a series of photos alongside a thoughtful caption contemplating the significance of this new chapter in his son’s life.
“Braylon, turning 18 is a new beginning. It signifies freedom, responsibility, and choices… but also the chance to grow and evolve!” Howard expressed. “Remember, no matter how tall you become, how far life takes you, or how grand your dreams are, you will always be my firstborn. You made me a father, you’re a testament to God’s grace, and one of the greatest gifts in my life. I’m always here for you! Much love always.”
He concluded his heartfelt note with, “Happy 18th Birthday, Braylon Howard.”
Royce Reed also paid tribute, sharing images taken by photographer Marquest (@marquestworld) and reflecting on the special moments she and her son have shared over the years.
“Happy 18th Birthday to my World @88cxrtified. 18 Days of Braylon, THIS IS EIGHTEEN!” she wrote.
She continued, “Braylon, we grew up together. I went from dancing on a court in booty shorts and crop tops to single motherhood and points to prove. It wasn’t easy but we did it! Through all the tears and the hard times, we did it! For every birthday, every milestone, every heartbreak and every win, I’m blessed to say I was there and scream to the highest star, YOU DID IT! I’m so proud of the man you have become and your perseverance speaks volumes. You have grown up in courage, given and earned forgiveness while also being able to make a name for yourself!”
She then highlighted the many roles Braylon plays in her life. “To the one who tells me the truth, to the one who holds me down, to the one who picks me up when I can’t stand, to my TikTok partner, to my taste tester, to my roller coaster rider, movie goer and buckets of oysters eater…to my twin and the one that loves me unconditionally…”
Reed wrapped her message, saying, “Braylon, I love you, Always and Forever. Remember you have 1 job… Come Home.”
