Feeling Happy! Pharrell Williams treats fans to a glimpse of his toned stomach during his T in the Park performance

He’s quickly become the most successful, if not the most copied pop stars on the planet, and Pharrell Williams was happy to share the love during his energetic performance during day two of T In The Park in Scotland.

Wearing one of his trademark big hats and bringing wads of bling to show off his hip-hop roots, Pharrell thrilled the crowd with a serving of his hits, new and old. He also gave the crowd a quick fix of his fab abs as he spun around the stage during his set.

Proving he is ever the entrepreneur with business on his mind, 41-year-old Pharrell wore one of his own Billionaire Boys Club hoodies – albeit one of the Billionaire Girls Club ones.

Tens of thousands of music fans enjoyed the second day of T in the Park, with some of the other big name acts appearing including Calvin Harris and Paolo Nutini.

Revellers swapped their sunglasses for waterproofs and wellies as rain fell over Balado in Kinross-shire during the afternoon.

Organisers described the opening day atmosphere of the weekend-long event as ‘tremendous’ as the crowds said farewell to the site after 18 years of hosting the festival.

Sophie Ellis-Bextor also appeared at the festival wearing a Heidi-inspired dress that might have come directly from the Alps.

The stage will be packed up at Balado tomorrow for the final time after Arctic Monkeys perform as the festival moves to the Strathallan Castle estate in Perthshire next year.

Other performers over the weekend include the headliners of T in the Park’s first year in Kinross-shire – the Charlatans and Paul Weller.

Meanwhile  Pharrell last week shared the spotlight with U2’s Bono as he picked up a prestigious award at a music industry bash.

The US superstar, who has been involved in a string of massive hits including Blurred Lines, Get Lucky and Happy, was joined by the U2 frontman as he picked up the Raymond Weil International Award at the O2 Silver Clef Awards.

Pharell declared that his love for music was as strong as ever.

‘It always meant the same thing that it means now,’ he insisted, ‘it feels amazing.’
