Tina Knowles marked a special occasion by celebrating her granddaughter, Blue Ivy Carter, with a heartfelt birthday message as Blue turns 14 today.

Sharing her sentiments on Instagram, the accomplished fashion designer and entrepreneur reminisced about the early moments of Blue’s existence. Knowles recounted the joyful discovery of Blue’s impending arrival and elaborated on the origins of her unique name.

“I vividly remember the day we learned you were growing in your mom’s belly. The excitement was overwhelming! We were told you were the size of a blueberry, which inspired your name. From the moment we knew about you, we prayed together daily until you reached 12 weeks in your mom’s womb, and continued individually until your birth months later,” she reflected.

Knowles further praised her granddaughter’s spirited nature, highlighting her early speech and keen intellect. 

“From the very beginning, it was clear you were a fighter. You spoke at an early age, and your intellect was razor-sharp. We spent countless hours playing Princess and Barbie dolls, and your imagination was nothing short of extraordinary,” she continued.

The proud grandmother also praised Blue for remaining grounded as she has grown older.

“To say that I’m a proud grandmother is an understatement! Even with all of your accomplishments and success, you remain a very sweet, kind humble human being,” Knowles wrote.

She closed the message by referring to Blue as her “manager, makeup artist, fashion adviser, my love” before wishing her a happy birthday and signing off with a heart emoji.
