Tina Knowles took to Instagram on Sunday to express her admiration for her talented granddaughter, Blue Ivy Carter. In her post, Knowles drew parallels between the 11-year-old and her aunt Solange Knowles, highlighting their multifaceted abilities and creative talents.
She wrote, “Blue IV Carter , never ceases to amaze me she can draw , she can paint , she can do makeup , she can play the piano and the list goes on ! She reminds me so much of my multi talented younger babygirl! @solangeknowles who could do well just about anything she put her mind to ! But I love her makeup it is so amazing!!!”
To demonstrate Blue Ivy’s remarkable skills, Tina Knowles shared a video in which she had just received a makeup session from the young prodigy herself.
In the clip, she says, “I’m here with the makeup guru, makeup extraordinaire, Miss. Blue Ivy Carter. She has been doing my makeup for years, and I really like it. I just don’t know about glitter on top of my eyes…”
In a light-hearted moment, Tina raised a concern about the glittery eye makeup. She wondered aloud if she might be “a tad bit old for glitter on top of [her] eyes.”
To which Blue responded with a resounding “No”.
Blue Ivy’s talents extend far beyond the realm of makeup artistry. She has also captivated audiences with her dancing skills during her mom Beyonce’s Renaissance tour.
Tina Knowles told People back in July that “[Blue’s] having the time of her life, and I couldn’t be more proud of her because she really worked hard.” She added, “She is 11 years old, and she had one week to prepare, and she’s just getting better and better. So I’m the proud grandma, always.”
Beyoncé, too, has expressed her immense pride in her eldest daughter. In a heartfelt post on May 29, she wrote, “My beautiful first born 🙏🏾 I’m so proud and thankful to be your mama. You bring us so much joy, my sweet angel.”
