Is The Buccaneers returning for another season, and if so, when?
While the hit period drama, which takes inspiration from Edith Wharton‘s unfinished novel, debuted on Apple TV+ in November 2023, Season 2 premiered this summer, welcoming Leighton Meester to the ensemble of Bucs featuring Kristine Frøseth, Alisha Boe, Josie Totah, Aubri Ibrag, Imogen Waterhouse, Christina Hendricks, and Mia Threapleton.
The cast is rounded out by Matthew Broome, Guy Remmers, Josh Dylan, Barney Fishwick, Amelia Bullmore, Jacob Ifan, Greg Wise, Fenella Woolgar, and Grace Ambrose.

Will there be a Season 3 of The Buccaneers?
Bucc yeah! Apple TV+ announced on Oct. 8 that the series would return for a third season. In a statement, series creator Katherine Jakeways said they “couldn’t be more delighted to be lacing up [their] corsets, slipping on [their] ball gowns and running breathless across the cliffs of Tintagel for the third time to see what passionate adventures our beloved Buccaneers get up to next.”
“Huge thanks to Apple TV+ and also to the devoted viewers for loving the show as much as we do,” she added.
What will Season 3 of The Buccaneers be about?
According to Apple TV+, Season 3 will see the Buccaneers “fighting back. And they’re doing it together.”
“When they arrived in England, they were all navigating their first loves,” the description continues. “Now, they’re looking for the loves of their lives. And with a new and enigmatic Duke at the helm, Tintagel is also facing an uncertain future. If polite English society thought these American girls rocked the boat, this new bad-boy Duke is about to sink the ship.”
When does Season 3 of The Buccaneers come out on Apple TV+?
A Season 3 release date has yet to be announced for The Buccaneers, but considering the renewal was just announced and Season 2 only concluded two months ago, it might be some time until we get the new season. DECIDER will update this story once that information is made available.
