Rapper Chris Kaba Murder Case Update: Is MPS Officer Arrested?
Chris Kaba was shot on the night of Monday, September 5, 2022, during a police chase on Streatham Hill. Following that, he was rushed to the hospital but died soon after midnight on September 6.
A provisional cause of death was announced as a headshot wound. Now, the police watchdog has passed a file of evidence to prosecutors to choose whether a Metropolitan Police officer should be charged over the shooting of Kaba, who was unarmed.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct recently said it had referred a file of proof to the Crown Prosecution Service following the decision of a homicide investigation.
Furthermore, the officer in question was suspended and told by the IOPC that they were under criminal investigation for murder. However, this does not necessarily mean that the officer will be charged.
The case is being investigated, and more details will be updated soon. Kaba’s family is somewhat relieved, and they welcomed the move and advised the CPS to prosecute the officer.

Chris Kaba Was Shot To Death By A Police Officer
On September 5, 2022, Chris Kaba was driving his black Audi. At the time, police officers tried to make tactical contact to stop him by stopping him on the residential street Kirkstall Gardens.
The IOPC reported that Kaba was thought to have his car linked to a firearms incident after the Automatic Number Plate Recognition camera picked up his car.
Five police cars with specialist firearms officers and a Met helicopter were in the dramatic chase. Forensic examination and searches were made on Chris’ car.
After getting shot, Kaba was rushed to the hospital, but he couldn’t survive.
