Is Greg Gay Bullied? A Katy businessman attends a school board meeting at Katy ISD & decides to speak publicly about the first allegations of bullying. 

Greg Barrett, real name Greg Gay is a Katy-area businessman.

Gay, a Father of three, at the Katy Independent School District board meeting, spoke about his ordeal when he was 13.

He claimed, “he had his head pushed in a urinal where it busted his lip.” He went on to say that he believed Superintendent Lance Hindt was the one who had pushed his head into the urinal.

After being sent home by school officials, Barrett claimed he even considered suicide.

Because his name was “Greg Gay” at the time, he was targeted.

Also, he claims that the bullying incidents at a junior high school near Houston forty years ago left him feeling hopeless.

Later, Greg Gay adopted the name, Greg Barrett. He admitted to Inside Edition that he was moved to speak out after reading terrible accounts of bullied children on social media.

Greg Gay Bullied- A Katy Businessman And A Former Classmate Of Hindt Made The First Allegations Of Bullying

Greg said Superintendent Lance Hindt had bullied him when they were both students at a Katy ISD middle school on the podium at a public forum at a board meeting on March 19.

He also claims that Lance Hindt, the district’s current superintendent, was one of the students who physically assaulted him there in seventh grade.

Barrett, who now goes by his mother’s maiden name, claimed that Hindt had once pushed his head into a urinal and that he had been made fun of for having the last name Gay, which is lawful.

A businessman, Greg, admitted to Inside Edition that he was moved to speak out after reading terrible accounts of bullied children on social media.

At a board meeting, as the individual voiced his criticism during a meeting of the Katy ISD with few attendees, Hindt appeared to laugh but said nothing.

The respected educator who assumed leadership of the district in the middle of 2016 sent a statement the next day claiming he didn’t recall his middle school classmate and that the claim “just isn’t true.”

Barrett is now a successful businessman with a close-knit family and often receives encouraging letters from people worldwide.

Lance Hindt, the superintendent of Katy ISD, apologized to KISD personnel on April 2.

According to Communityimpact, more than two weeks after Greg Gay, a businessman of Hindt, accused him of severe bullying at a board meeting on March 19.

Videos of Barrett’s remarks to the board quickly became popular, with one video receiving more than 1 million views, and news organizations like the Washington Post covered the incident.

Hindt responded in a statement on March 20 that Barrett’s charges “simply were not accurate” and that he did not recall him from his childhood.

Lance does not suggest that Mr. Barrett was not bullied, only that he was not part of it. Bullying must stop. It was back then, and it is still today, according to Hindt.

The superintendent of Katy ISD, Hindt continued, “he is glad to lead a district that doesn’t back down from dealing with bullying, whether offline or online.”
