The 43-year-old star revealed that he sought help many times and in many different ways. The talented Actor added that his new show exposes that “we are all a mess” – even the person you think is your authority.
Jason portrays the character Jimmy Laird in the therapy Drama. Jimmy Laird is a therapist suffering following his spouse’s demise.
The End of the Tour star further explained that he is conscious of his mental health and has always struggled with anxiety. He described it as “sense that something is wrong and sense of impending doom.”
At some point, Segal even decided there was no reason to spend his life not feeling good. As a result, he tried to acquire some tools, therapy being one of them, and to feel that everything was going to be okay.

It is Segel’s first comedy television role after a long time. He previously worked in the CBS comedy sitcom How I Met Your Mother, which finished its 9th season in 2014.
