However, choosing the right snacks can help manage hunger, stabilize blood sugar levels, and support muscle maintenance, all of which are crucial for reducing overall body fat, including around your belly. “Snacks that combine protein, fiber, and healthy fats help keep you full longer and prevent overeating that can disrupt your fat loss goals,” she notes. Consider these five snacks to help accelerate belly fat reduction more effectively than crunches.

Hummus with veggie sticks, like carrots, celery, and peppers, is a colorful, protein-packed, and nutrient-rich snack. “Plant-based protein, fiber, and minerals that keep energy up without spiking blood sugar,” says Collingwood.
