VLADIMIR Putin, Xi Jinping, and Kim Jong-un would relish Donald Trump returning to the White House as the trio of dictators know how to take the tycoon to the cleaners, John Bolton has said.

But, the former US Ambassador to the UN warned that in a second term, Trump would be free from political consequences as he is unable to seek re-election.

During his first term in the White House, Trump rubbed shoulders with Putin and buddied up with Kim as he made history by becoming the first sitting American president to step foot into North Korea.

Bolton, who served as national security advisor between 2018 and 2019, blasted Trump’s understanding of geopolitics.

“His knowledge of international affairs is minimal – he didn’t know much when he became president, he didn’t learn very much when he was there, and he hasn’t learned anything since then,” he told The U.S. Sun.

“He believes that relations between states are essentially matters of the personal relationship between their leaders.”

Bolton warned authoritarian leaders are not influenced by their relationship with Trump and are focused on how to gain an advantage over the US.

Trump has come under fire relating to his alleged ties with Putin and famously boasted that a meeting with the Russian dictator could be the easiest of all.

In 2018, Trump claimed he and Kim fell in love.

“I don’t think that’s what Kim Jong-un thinks. They all know how to take Trump to the cleaners,” Bolton said.

The prospect of a second Trump presidency has sparked fears that Russia could be the beneficiary of any future negotiation that takes place between Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky.

Bolton admitted the West’s position in the world could be threatened because of some of the choices Trump might make in office.

He previously told The U.S. Sun a second Trump term would be more erratic and chaotic than the first.

Bolton said Nikki Haley, Trump’s rival in the race for the GOP nomination, was wrong to say that chaos revolves around the ex-president.

In fact, he claimed that Trump is the chaos.

INSIDE THE ‘CHAOS’

Bolton offered an insight into what could happen if Trump defeats Biden in November.

He speculated that Trump could cut defense spending during a second term – a move that risks leaving many disappointed.

“He believes the United States has been so disadvantaged by bad trade deals – with the EU, Japan, Korea – that if there was less trade it wouldn’t matter to him,” Bolton said.

“He doesn’t see many of these disputes that we know would arise as central to American interests. He doesn’t know much about it. He doesn’t care much about it.”

Bolton has warned that Trump could try to take the US out of NATO if he is elected president again.

He said Trump would attempt to pull America out of the alliance – despite the opposition he would meet in Congress.

Bolton said such a move would be an act of stupidity.

Trump’s skepticism toward the transatlantic alliance and called for European nations to increase their contributions since before he entered the White House in January 2017.

Politicians in Congress passed a law that banned a president from unilaterally pulling out of the alliance unless the measure is backed by Senators or an Act of Congress is passed.

Trump came under fire after EU Commissioner Thierry Breton claimed Trump told Ursula Von Der Leyen that the US wouldn’t rush to support Europe if attacked.

Bolton said the Kremlin would welcome any disarray that a Trump presidency could bring.

And the diplomat said it would be a gift for President Xi and other authoritarian leaders.

But, Bolton warned, “Trump can’t run for another term so he doesn’t have to worry about the political consequences.”

November’s election risks taking place against a backdrop of global uncertainty.

The war in Ukraine is at a stalemate, while President Xi considers Taiwan to be part of China, and the imperialistic ambitions of the Chinese Communist Party have not disappeared.

Taiwanese forces are constantly conducting drills ahead of a potential invasion and experts at the Center for Strategic and International Studies have said 2024 is a critical year for US-Taiwan relations.

Fears of war involving Iran are also on the rise and Lindsey Graham warned that conflict could break out in 2024.

He speculated that Iran would “break out the nuclear bomb” later this year.

Trump warned the globe is on the brink of World War 3 after three American soldiers were killed in Jordan.
