When you drink green juice, you’re flooding your body with antioxidant-rich fruits and veggies that help cut down inflammation and neutralize free radicals that can damage your cells. Applying the new Superflower Detox serum from Saint Jane does the same for your skin. It’s packed with antioxidant-rich plant oils and extracts, giving skin a mega-dose of powerful nutrients that give it the goodness it needs and break down what it doesn’t.

“I have always prioritized antioxidants in my nutrition, so it felt like the right time to create a formula with millions of micronutrients that feed the skin,” says Casey Georgeson, founder and CEO of Saint Jane. “Detox, to me, means a total reset for your body and mind. Detox is part of the name and benefit of our newest serum because your skin needs a reset too. This serum does that—it resets the skin’s balance and barrier with essential nutrients and hydration.”

The Saint Jane Superflower Detox ($88) is full of so many different botanicals, but Georgeson is particularly fond of the rose, blue tansy, and winter cherry.

“This serum has some of my favorite florals in our Active Flower Concentrate, like rose which is incredible for purifying toxins,” she says. “We procure the rose from Bulgaria where the petals are hand-picked by women who have been cultivating this rose’s precious oil in this manner for centuries. Another favorite is blue tansy which is rich in antioxidants and helps to restore the skin’s natural biome. Winter cherry is ultra-hydrating and helps to replenish skin hydration levels. When blended, they work in concert to renew the skin.”

Although Saint Jane is known for its CBD skin care, this serum is made without the soothing ingredient.

“The Superflower Detox serum is our third product without CBD,” says Georgeson. “While I deeply adore CBD as an ingredient in skin care, we only include it in products where it can truly impact the skin, like our Luxury Beauty Serum or Sacred Sleep. For this particular formula it wasn’t a necessary ingredient! Plus, you can layer our CBD products with our Active Flower formulas and get the same calming results.

Applying the Superflower Detox serum is a glorious experience. It has a green hue that signals you’re about to flood your skin with a lush blend of botanicals. The fragrance is divine—fresh and floral. The serum has a lovely oil texture that feels rich on the skin but dries down without feeling sticky. I apply it as the final serum in my routine before my moisturizer. As amazing as it feels on its own, the magic happens when you layer other products on top. I find that it makes my moisturizer feel 10 times more decadent than usual. The serum blends with the moisturizer as you rub it in, creating this gorgeous buttery texture that I adore.

While my complexion tolerates the botanical blend well, know that it could be too much if you have sensitive skin. Because the longer the ingredient list, the greater exposure you’re getting to potentially irritating ingredients. But if oils and fragrances don’t trigger your skin, this serum is a game-changer. It feels so good on you’re gonna wanna bathe in it.
