The footballing world honoured Trevor Francis, the previous most expensive player in British history, as he passed away on Monday at the age of 69.

When Nottingham Forest came calling in 1979, Francis created history by becoming the first British player to earn £1 million, and two European Cup victories followed him to the City Ground.
