LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – A Lake County sheriff’s deputy shot and injured a man, but details about the incident are scarce.
The shooting happened at a home on Division Street off State Road 44, southwest of DeLand.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to the area around 8:10 p.m. Tuesday.
No other details about the call have been released, but a deputy shot a man, who was taken to HCA Florida Lake Monroe Hospital in Sanford. His condition is not known.
No deputies were injured.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating the shooting.
