Man arrested for misdemeanor Sexual Battery in Augusta

AUGUSTA, Ga. () – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office arrested and charged a 31-year-old man for Sexual Battery on Sunday.

According to deputies, law enforcement responded to the Dollar General Store on 4506 Windsor Road on Sept. 28 at approximately 4:30 p.m. in reference to a man who allegedly behaved inappropriately toward a woman in the store.

He was also charged with misdemeanor Obstruction of an Officer during the arrest after a foot pursuit.

Back in March of this year, Gaynor Jr. was arrested for misdemeanor Stalking related to an incident on March 2, 2025 at Diamond Lakes Park 4335 Windsor Springs Road. According to police, he was sentenced to probation in State Court and released.

RCSO said as it continues to investigate the case, those with information are asked to contact Sergeant Terry Gore at (706) 821-1020.

“Behavior that targets and harms others in our community will never be tolerated in Richmond County,” Sheriff Eugene Brantley said in a statement. “Our deputies will continue to act quickly to protect victims hold offenders accountable and pursue every lead so that patterns of predatory conduct are identified and stopped. If you have information please come forward. Your courage helps us keep our neighborhoods safe.”
