HINESVILLE, Ga. () — The Bradwell Institute girls’ basketball team is one win away from playing for the Class AAAAA state title.

The school had a big send-off for the team earlier on Feb. 27. They head to Atlanta to take on Langston Hughes on Friday, Feb. 28.

Bradwell advanced to the state semifinals after senior forward Parris Parham hit a last-second shot against Woodward Academy in the quarterfinals on Feb. 25.

The ladies have a tough task on their hands Friday as they face the No. 2 Team in the state, Langston Hughes.

Coach Faye baker hopes the girls learned from the last game how important free throws are at this stage of the playoffs.

“Free throws,” Baker said. “Yes. Free throws could have lost us that game tonight. So, we definitely got to do a much better job from the free-throw line.”

The winner of this game will play for the state championship. Bradwell Institute and Langston Hughes tip off at 1 p.m. Friday from Georgia State University.
