The case surrounding the tragic death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez has taken a significant turn, with rising R&B artist D4vd emerging as a suspect. This development was confirmed by sources communicating with multiple news organizations.

TMZ initially broke the story, and it was subsequently corroborated by ABC News and a local NBC station, all citing information from law enforcement officials regarding D4vd’s potential involvement.

Earlier this year, Rivas’ body was discovered in the trunk of a Tesla linked to the singer, whose real name is David Anthony Burke. She had been missing from Lake Elsinore, California, since April 2024, when she was only 13 years old.

The investigation has considered a possible connection between the 20-year-old Burke and Rivas Hernandez. The girl’s mother reportedly informed investigators that her daughter had a boyfriend named David around the time she vanished. Additionally, both Burke and the young girl reportedly sport identical tattoos on their right index fingers featuring the word “Shhh.” Notably, other celebrities such as Rihanna and Lindsay Lohan have also been seen with similar tattoos.
