Here’s what you need to know:

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. (WCIA) — Tortured poets, lovers, and showgirls, this one’s for you: Taylor Swift’s album, “The Life of a Showgirl” comes out at 12 a.m. on Oct. 3. And, Champaign’s Target is one of just a handful of stores in the state that will remain open for the midnight release.

“The Life of a Showgirl” is Swift’s 12th studio album. Nine Target stores in Illinois were chosen to remain open past normal closing time to allow fans to purchase exclusive vinyl and CD editions that are only available at Target.

The Target team said there are a couple of things fans need to know ahead of the release.

First, Target team members will begin to distribute physical or digital tickets in the electronic section of the store beginning at 10 p.m. This ticket serves to reserve your product for purchase. Once you get a ticket, Target said you can continue shopping in the store until 11:45 p.m. Then, you should return to the designated queuing location to make your purchase at midnight.

Tickets will be handed out until they’re all gone, or until there are 10 minutes left before midnight — whatever comes first. Target also said there will be limit of four purchases per item, per guest.

“The Life of a Showgirl” can also be purchased online and in Target stores beginning early on Oct. 3.
