MINNEOLA, Fla. – The city of Minneola has taken a significant step to honor the memory of Master Deputy Sheriff Bradley Link.

According to a social media post from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, the city council passed a resolution in a recent session to designate a portion of U.S. Highway 27, from Division Street to County Road 561, as the “Master Deputy Sheriff Bradley Michael Link Memorial Highway.”

This resolution is a tribute to Link’s service and dedication, and it reflects the community’s respect and admiration for his contributions. The resolution will now proceed to Tallahassee for final approval.

Once the bill is signed, the highway will officially bear Link’s name.

Link, 28, was shot and killed in an ambush attack after he and two other deputies responded to a disturbance call in the area of County Road 439, near Brookside Drive last August.

Link’s parents were present at the council meeting to accept the resolution.
