CLEARWATER, Fla. (WFLA) — The U.S. Small Business Administration Business Recovery Center in Clearwater is permanently closing at the end of the week, Pinellas County announced Thursday.

The center located on 58th Street North, which assisted business owners, homeowners and renters with disaster loan applications, will close its doors at 2 p.m. Friday.

Those still seeking assistance can go to the Tampa location, located at the Entrepreneur Collaborative Center at 2101 E. Palm Ave, on Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays until 3 p.m.

Applicants can still contact the Customer Service Center at 800-659-2955 or by email. For those who are deaf, hard of hearing, or have a speech disability, they can dial 711 for telecommunication relay services.

The final deadline to return applications for property damage is Sunday, April 27. The deadline to return economic injury applications for Hurricane Helene is June 30, and July 11 for Hurricane Milton.

Pinellas County said loan recipients have up to two years from their approval date to request an increase of up to 20% of their verified damages to cover the cost of mitigation improvements. More information on mitigation options can be found here.
