ORLANDO, Fla. – A Coastal Flood Warning is in effect from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday for coastal Flagler, Volusia and northern Brevard counties.

Coastal flooding is likely during this time, and in some areas.

If you live along the coast, stay alert and be ready to act quickly to protect yourself and your property. Beach erosion and road closures are possible.

Coastal Flood Warning

The ocean will be rough, with large waves and high surf that can cause beach erosion and make swimming extremely dangerous. For your safety, it’s best to stay out of the water until conditions improve.

If you’re told to evacuate, do it right away. Don’t walk through floodwaters—just six inches can knock you down. Never drive through flooded roads; they can be deeper and more dangerous than they look.
