WASHINGTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Johnson City man faces auto theft and evading arrest charges after allegedly stealing a car early Thursday morning.
According to the Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), deputies responded to a reported auto theft in the 100 block of Claude Simmons Road around 1 a.m.
The victim reportedly told police that Braydon J. Henderson, 22, took a vehicle without permission and refused to return it. The WCSO stated that Henderson’s license was also suspended at the time.
The vehicle was located at a gas station on Pickens Bridge Road. Upon arrival, Henderson ran from the scene, the WCSO reported.
Henderson was later located by police and arrested.
As of Thursday, Henderson is being held at the Washington County Detention Center on a $13,000 bond. He is set to appear in court on Friday.
